As part of our mentorship program, Women4Cyber Denmark are offering this masterclass to upskills both mentors and mentees in various cyber topics. We´ve chosen threat modeling as a main theme.
“Traditionally, threat modelling has been a manual, human-driven activity — often seen as one of the more time-consuming tasks in cybersecurity. Today, however, we are witnessing a gradual shift towards automation. But how can a process as specialised and inherently complex as threat modelling be automated? The reality is that it can be automated, and many organisations have already taken significant steps through rule-based methods, with AI-driven approaches becoming increasingly prominent. In this workshop, we will take a pragmatic look at how threat modelling is evolving: from fully manual practices, through emerging automated techniques, and finally to the intersection with AI. We will explore how these different approaches shape the resulting threat model for a given system, and what this means for practitioners moving forward.”
Our speaker will be Josephine Bakka, a dedicated and detail-oriented software engineer with a specialization in Cybersecurity, AI/Machine Learning, and Distributed Systems. Currently, she has joined Aalborg University as a PhD student in their cross disciplinary AI:X project. Her academic and professional focus lies in shifting security left, vulnerability assessment, and secure software development practices and how these can be applied to AI. Join us for an inspiring online masterclass.
